Enrolment Procedure

The deadline for both documents depends on the degree programme you have been admitted to and it is:
- 31 July for Limited Access degree programmes,
- 30 September for Open Access degree programmes.

Do not worry, as long as you are enrolled you do not have to do anything else. The Admissions and Welcome Unit will check your profile as soon as possible and update it accordingly.
You must make sure you follow the correct procedure and respect the deadline.

Your enrolment is finalised once you receive the confirmation email from the Admissions and Welcome Unit.
To finalise your enrolment you are required to provide:
- Your ID (ONLY for EU or equivalent applicants) OR passport
- Your final diploma (Secondary School/Bachelor’s degree) and relative transcript of records,
- The legalisation of such documents,
- Declaration of Value OR Statement of Comparability OR Diploma Supplement,
- ONLY for non-EU students residing outside Italy: Study VISA (Type D – Enrolment),
- ONLY for non-EU students: Residence Permit OR Assicurata (Residence Permit receipt).
Some students may be required to book an in-person appointment in order to show the original copies of the above-mentioned documents. Further information is available at www.unipd.it/en/how-enrol
Enrolled students receive their final student username (name.surname@unipd.it) and student number.

No. It is not possible to postpone or defer the enrolment.
UNIWEB

UNIWEB is the platform where students manage their academic career, select their study plan, pay their tuition fees, apply for benefits and all other related activities.

No, if you have applied through our application platform and have been admitted to our programme, the account is created by the Admissions and Welcome Unit. You will receive the necessary instructions on how to activate it.
Unless otherwise specified, this applies to all students with an international entry title.

International applicants, once admitted, will receive an email with a one-time link/token to activate their provisional UNIWEB account and relative instructions. Make sure to read thoroughly the email and follow the instructions step-by-step.
Please note that this is a mandatory step before finalising your enrolment.

Creating a UNIWEB account may take some time, once ready you will be provided with the email and instructions on how to activate it. Always remember to check your spam inbox or the inbox section on our application platform.

Please note that, to apply for the economic benefits (Application for benefits) you can also use the temporary credentials.

If your username follows the numerical format (1234567@unipd.it ) it means that you have a temporary account. Once the enrolment is completed, this will be automatically transformed into a permanent account with the format name.surname@studenti.unipd.it.

Yes, once the enrolment is finalised, the Application for benefits will be automatically associated with your permanent final account.

You will be provided with a one-time link/token, however you can always retrieve the email by checking the “Inbox” section on our application platform.

In the UNIWEB login webpage click on the “Need help?” button that you can find below the username and password field. Then click on “Student (@studenti.unipd.it) or numerical usernames (e.g. 3457362@unipd.it)”. A new tab will open with the title “Single Sign On User Credential Management (Username and Password)”.
Here you can either choose on “Retrieve username”, “Change password”, “Expired or forgotten password”.
In order to retrieve the password, you will be required to answer to the security questions you should have set while activating your account.

Upon enrolment students must present the hard copies of their original educational documents:
- Your ID (ONLY for EU or equivalent applicants) OR passport
- Your final diploma (Secondary School/Bachelor’s degree) and relative transcript of records,
- The legalisation of such documents (alternatively Apostille OR Statement of Verification),
- CIMEA Statement of Comparability (ONLY if specifically requested by the Global Engagement Office)
- ONLY for non-EU students residing outside Italy: Study VISA (Type D – Enrolment),
- ONLY for non-EU students: Residence Permit OR Assicurata (Residence Permit receipt).

You must provide at least a proof of graduation officially released by the competent office of your school/university and which clearly indicates the graduation date. You can thus provide for example:
- An interim/provisional/temporary graduation certificate,
- A letter released by an administrative official,
- The final transcript of records,
- The Diploma Supplement (for entry titles obtained within the Bologna process framework).
The final diploma must be then provided as soon as obtained.

To obtain a Residence Permit for study purposes students will first need to get a study VISA and have arrived in Padua.
Application for the permit must be sent within 8 working days from the arrival in Italy.
These are the steps to apply and obtain the permit:
- Collect the residence permit kit at “Sportello Amico” at any Post Office,
- Fill in the kit. Check our video tutorial,
- Submit your kit at the Post Office (when you will also be required to pay the relative fee). You will be given the so-called Assicurata (Residence Permit receipt) and a document fixing the date of your appointment at the Questura,
- Show up at the appointment at the Questura for fingerprints collection,
- After a few weeks, collect your Residence Permit.
Sometimes the procedure takes up to few months.
