Mauro Varotto, Andrea Caracausi and Giada Peterle of the Department of Historical, Geographical and Antiquity Sciences (DiSSGeA) returned to the Geography Museum’s rooms and told us what this return to the research premises meant to them.
“It’s like returning to a beloved place, because where you do your research, where you do a job you are passionate about, where the space itself is filled with your passion, surrounded by books, papers and documents, is like going back to a friendly space “.
“Leaving the quarantine means being able to reconstruct interpersonal relationships, which are also based on casual encounters and conversations down the corridors, moments in which ideas and the sharing of knowledge take place; it means returning to our spaces of research and having access to libraries, archives, cartographic materials which represent a real state of mind for researchers.”
Back to Lab is a project of the University of Padua to introduce research and its researchers, particularly at the beginning of the so-called phase 2.
