Long term mobility for a deeply immersive experience

Long-term mobility programs offer students the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a different academic, cultural, and social environment for an extended period, often a semester or more. These programs go beyond short exchanges, fostering deeper integration into host institutions, and enhancing language skills, adaptability, and global awareness. At the University of Padua, we support and encourage this kind of experience through a range of mobility programmes.

Erasmus+ for studies

Spend a period of study (between 2 and 12 months) at one of the other 500 universities in one of the participating European countries (or also in a non-European country). It is possible to carry out the mobility during every study cycle, to attend courses and take exams, to prepare thesis work and to carry out internship work as long as it runs alongside a period of study.

Double and joint degree programmes

The University of Padua promotes joint or double degree programmes and guarantees ad hoc scholarships for participating students. Such international degree programmes are organised in cooperation with one or more partner institutions. A mobility period at the partner university is envisaged before or after attending a degree programme at the University of Padua.

Mobility window

The mobility window is a structured mobility period within a study program and represents a specific time frame, often a semester, during which students have the opportunity to study abroad at a partner university.

Mobility window agreements differ from standard Erasmus exchanges because they are targeted at one or more specific degree programs, with clearly defined educational objectives. These windows may involve a pre-established study plan agreed upon before departure, or a more flexible plan allowing students to choose some or all of the courses they wish to attend.
